Job Description

Our Testers work with project teams to ensure software quality through systematic test planning, execution, and defect tracking, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability of applications before deployment. With deep knowledge of various types of applications, databases, and operating systems, they maintain high standards of product excellence and user satisfaction. 

As a Senior Automation Tester at Endava, you will be in charge of building, developing, and implementing automated tests to assure the quality of our software applications. You will take part in specific projects and work directly with our global stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user stories, use cases, and requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability.
  • Define and drive the overall test strategy, aligning with project goals and quality standards.
  • Plan and execute testing across all levels, including functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks and scripts using appropriate tools and programming languages.
  • Lead automation initiatives, including framework architecture, CI/CD integration, and test optimization.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to refine requirements and improve test coverage.
  • Apply quality engineering principles and best practices within an Agile environment.
  • Contribute to non-functional testing efforts, including performance, reliability, and scalability testing.
  • Proactively identify risks and communicate quality concerns to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Over 5 years of testing experience, including 3+ years specializing in automation testing.
  • Proven ability to define and drive QA strategy, ensuring alignment with business and project goals.
  • Proven ability to design and build scalable automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong hands-on experience in manual and automated testing across front-end and back-end systems.
  • Solid understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and quality engineering best practices.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, or C#).
  • Experience in UI and API automation testing, including integration with CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of performance testing concepts and practices is an advantage.

Soft Skills:

  • Demonstrates a strong eagerness to learn and contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Skilled in identifying, analyzing, and troubleshooting issues with attention to detail and problem‑solving mindset.
  • Comfortable working in English-speaking environments, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic settings while maintaining high-quality work.
