Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for experienced infrastructure engineers, at both senior and lead levels, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

In this role, you will design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions that ensure scalability, security, and reliability across all layers of our platforms. You’ll play a key part in modernizing infrastructure and enabling cloud transformation for our clients.

While GCP experience is preferred, we also welcome candidates from AWS or Azure backgrounds who are eager to gain hands-on experience in GCP.

Fluency in Cantonese is a nice-to-have and will help in collaborating effectively with local stakeholders, but it is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers to design and build cloud-based infrastructures and landing zones.

  • Assist in creating infrastructure architectures and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.

  • Design and implement:

    • Secure and scalable GCP foundational environments;

    • Automated provisioning for infrastructure and applications;

    • Cloud-ready architectures for modern applications.

  • Deliver end-to-end cloud-based infrastructure management solutions.

  • Present infrastructure modernization strategies to C-level executives and technical stakeholders.

  • Drive improvements in monitoring, logging, and observability within client environments.

  • Define and implement cloud infrastructure governance and deployment standards.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the delivery management and engineering teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an infrastructure engineer, cloud engineer, or DevOps engineer, ideally with GCP.

  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure design, automation, and cloud security best practices.

  • Experience with AWS or Azure is highly valued, especially for those eager to transition and grow within GCP environments.

  • Hands-on experience in scripting, automation, and IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or similar).

  • Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, and monitoring solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and containerization is a plus.

  • Cantonese proficiency is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development;
  • Experience with virtualization: servers, storage, networks
  • Google Cloud Platform certification, along with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience using its suite of tools, is required;
  • Experience with infrastructure-based processes such as monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery, data center exit;
  • Experience with Google’s Cloud Foundation Toolkit and Landing Zone implementations;
  • Experience with data center exit strategies.
