Job Description
Our infrastructure specialists are responsible for designing and implementing back-end services. They ensure reliability, security, and scalability for all platform layers within our solutions. Infrastructure teams provide expertise across virtualization, cloud services, storage solutions, cybersecurity, and scripting and automation.
As a Network Specialist in Endava you will be part of building secure and reliable networking for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Part of a dedicated team providing project delivery services of network and security solutions to both on premise and Cloud infrastructures
- Design, implement and test projects based on clients functional and business requirements (including travel to other countries)
- Involvement in architecture and project definition working with software and infrastructure architects to define requirements.
- Research and development of new technologies based on client project pipelines
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
- Provide support services during project go-live, performance tuning, and transition to support operations
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong foundational knowledge in networking concepts: IP addressing, subnets, VLANs, routing protocols, NAT, and firewall rules.
- Experience with command-line interfaces for various platforms, particularly Cisco, Juniper, and Arista devices.
- Hands-on experience with at least three of the following platforms: Cisco ASA, BlueCat, Checkpoint, Arista EOS, F5 BIG-IP, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, Junos, Citrix NetScaler, Cisco NX-OS, Palo Alto PAN-OS, and Versa.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python or Bash) is a plus for efficiency and automation of repetitive tasks.
- Familiarity with network management tools, such as Cisco SmartConsole, BlueCat Address Manager, and F5 iRules.
- Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills:
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across multiple platforms with logical and methodical troubleshooting.
- Experience using network diagnostic tools like ping, traceroute, and nslookup.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications (nice-to-have but not required):
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Checkpoint CCSA, or other relevant certifications.
- Experience in Enterprise Environments: Prior work in large-scale or multi-platform network environments is a plus.
- Automation Familiarity: Knowledge of Ansible or other network automation tools is beneficial for future workflow enhancements.
