Job Description
Development is the largest discipline at Endava. Our developers design, build, and release software products using modern programming languages, frameworks, and libraries. Working closely with cross-functional teams, our developers are adaptable problem-solvers with a strong client focus.
As a Python Senior Developer at Endava, you will play a key role in delivering scalable backend and cloud-based solutions using Python and modern frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend solutions and ETL workflows that extract, validate, process, and transfer data across systems.
- Work across the full backend stack — application code, infrastructure, and databases — ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or similar tools.
- Monitor and optimize ETL jobs and backend services to ensure reliability, performance, and efficient data flow.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to validate data, correct issues, and deliver accurate, timely reports.
- Participate in architecture and implementation design discussions, ensuring alignment with scalability, performance, and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the team, fostering collaboration and, knowledge sharing.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and risks proactively with stakeholders.
- Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of experience in backend development using Python.
- Proven experience designing and implementing ETL pipelines and data processing workflows.
- Strong background in backend architecture and scalable system design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
- Proficiency in tools like SQLAlchemy, Alembic, boto3, Pydantic, and pytest.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and containerized environments (Docker).
- Solid understanding of databases, data validation, and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with observability practices and monitoring systems in production environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong sense of ownership, proactivity, in dynamic contexts.
- Advanced English level mandatory.
