Job Description

Development is the largest discipline at Endava. Our developers design, build, and release software products in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and libraries. Always collaborating with cross-functional project teams, our developers are adaptable problem-solvers with a client-oriented mindset.

We are seeking multiple skilled Embedded Software Engineers with experience in C/C++ programming languages and a strong understanding of Linux. The ideal candidates will have expertise in low-level coding, operating system support, and code optimization in resource-constrained environments. Familiarity with kernel development, shell scripting and Python is a plus. 

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software using C and C++ programming languages.
  • Optimizing code for efficiency, reliability, and scalability in resource-constrained environments.
  • Providing operating system support, including debugging, performance tuning, and system-level troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts used to start/stop processes and supervise them.
  • Participation in code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices in software development.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging complex software and hardware-related issues.

For specific roles:

  • Working on Linux kernel development, including driver development, system integration, and code optimization.
  • Writing low-level code to interface directly with hardware components and embedded systems.
  • Collaborating with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in C++ programming.
  • Experience in Linux usage
  • Code optimization and troubleshooting skills
  • Good English skills for effective oral and written communication.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Linux kernel development
  • Knowledge of Python and shell scripting.
