Job Description

Endava is seeking a candidate to take on the role of Analytics and Insights Specialist within our Commercial Operations team. This key position involves analyzing our sales processes, identifying areas for efficiency enhancements, and providing actionable insights to improve sales performance. The ideal candidate should be inherently curious, self-driven, and capable of independently navigating complex datasets, with a willingness to develop expertise in Power BI.

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct thorough analyses of the sales funnel to identify stages with significant drop-offs and propose improvements.
  • Track and analyze sales velocity, identifying trends and the factors influencing these metrics.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools, transitioning to Power BI for enhanced data visualization and analytics.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to collect necessary data and refine analysis methodologies.
  • Proactively research potential inefficiencies or new areas for analysis within the sales process.
  • Communicate findings directly to the sales team and senior management, providing clear, concise, and actionable recommendations.
  • Use insights to inform strategic planning sessions, influencing sales strategies and objectives.
  • Improve data integrity and analysis methods, including advocating for and implementing automation of data collection and processing.
  • Serve as a mentor in sales analytics, enhancing the team's overall analytical capabilities and transitioning them to Power BI utilization.

Example Insights Responsibilities

  1. Detailed Funnel Analysis: Identify specific drop-off points and reasons within the sales funnel using Power BI visualizations.
  2. Monitoring Sales Velocity: Track and decipher factors affecting sales velocity through advanced analytics in Power BI.
  3. Segmentation of Win Rates: Provide detailed analysis of win/loss rates by different sales segments using Power BI dashboards.
  4. Cost vs. Value Assessment: Evaluate customer acquisition costs against customer lifetime value through sophisticated modeling in Power BI.
  5. Lead Conversion Efficiency: Analyze and report on the effectiveness of different lead sources with Power BI reports.
  6. Pricing Strategy Feedback: Utilize Power BI to analyze the impact of pricing strategies on sales outcomes.
  7. Individual Sales Performance: Use Power BI to conduct performance analyses, supporting personal development and team coaching.
  8. Product Line Sales Trends: Track sales trends across different product lines to guide inventory and development focus using Power BI.
  9. Regional Sales Analysis: Leverage Power BI to provide insights on regional market trends and opportunities.
  10. Marketing Campaign ROI: Analyze the direct impact of marketing campaigns on sales results through detailed Power BI visualizations.

Qualifications

  • Existing familiarity with sales/revenue data systems and processes is preferred.
  • Strong background in data analysis or sales operations, with direct experience in analytical tools such as SQL, Excel, and Salesforce Analytics.
  • Proficient or willing to become proficient in Power BI.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and effectively.
  • Proven self-starter with a track record of proactive problem-solving.
  • Effective project management skills, capable of managing initiatives with minimal supervision.
