Process Technician

  • Full-time

Company Description

EnPower, Inc. is a startup lithium-ion battery company poised to become the U.S. leader in advanced battery manufacturing. EnPower’s technology advantage lies in its patented multilayer electrodes, which address the trade-off between energy and power. High energy density cells with EnPower’s electrodes can repeatedly fast charge without degradation to service life, solving a critical challenge to the mass adoption of electric vehicles.

Job Description

Under general direction by an engineer, the Process Technician will work intimately with
critical manufacturing processes and equipment to produce Li-ion battery prototypes and
sub-component products and will hold a crucial role in inspecting defects and other by products of production. This position demands 100% hands-on execution in a pilot-
scale setting.

• Set-up, disassemble, and clean slurry Delivery System Equipment (DSE) for
electrode coating
• Perform multiple slurry mixes and clean-up the mixers
• Run R&D coaters to make electrodes
• Operate calendering and punching equipment during R&D project production
runs
• Run electrode stacking equipment and perform terminal tab welding and bagging
processes
