Job Description

  • Installation repair and maintenance of company capital equipment
  • Develop and perform equipment upgrades to enhance equipment reliability and scalability
  • Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures and develop corrective actions
  • Design, fabricate, and install new metrology equipment, jigs, and other systems as necessary
  • Develop preventative maintenance procedures to reduce equipment failures
  • Monitor equipment performance and suggest/develop improvements
  • Work with team to develop equipment specifications for next generation tools
  • Maintain documents for equipment installation, maintenance, and trouble-shooting
  • Responsible for Environmental Health and Safety procedures and compliance.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years hands-on experience investigating and resolving manufacturing equipment problems and fixing them
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills
  • Proficient with 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Proficient in machining (using manual mill, lathe, and basic machine shop tools). Welding skills is a plus
  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical/electrical/fluidic systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with PLCs, microcontrollers, data acquisition and logging devices, and interfacing with various industrial process sensors. Familiar working with analog/digital signals and industrially-relevant serial communication protocols.
  • Ability to learn and understand component level failures in large equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work resourcefully with used/low-cost components and put together equipment prototypes quickly
  • Lithium ion battery equipment experience is a plus
