Micro-Intern: MBA Intern (IAP/Spring)

  • Intern

Company Description

EnPower, Inc. is an early-stage startup developing next-generation Li-ion batteries that have fast-charging and long cycle-life capabilities—critical enablers to the mass electrification of vehicles. Our R&D, pilot-manufacturing, and sales operations are based out of our engineering facility & headquarters located in the north Phoenix - Deer Valley area where we are producing hundreds of >3.0Ah pouch cells per week. We are passionate about what we do, and are looking for high-voltage, high-ampere individuals to join our team!

Job Description

The intern will work with EnPower’s Strategic Marketing Manager on a project that will inform future business strategy and commercialization decisions. The project will include a detailed search of all of the "battery cell" manufacturing companies in North America to identify the following: what they are capable of producing (form factor, throughput/output capacity), what equipment & facilities they have, what types of revenue they are capable of and what they are actually generating, what their corporate structure looks like (privately owned, sole proprietor, etc), how long they've been in business, etc. The analysis will evaluate the economic feasibility of a low volume manufacturing business model, the associated target markets and projected revenues, and the necessary partners or capital required to execute such business model. The intern will get significant first-hand experience learning about the EV and battery industry and the US manufacturing landscape. This position does not include any specific skills training from EnPower.
