Educational Requirements:

Grade 12

Relevant Tertiary qualification in warehouse management and stock control

At least 2-year experience within operations, logistics or distribution

Ms office

Previous staff management and warehouse management experience essential

Knowledge and understanding of supply chain from buying, selling to distribution (loading, routing and despatching)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan rounds, supervise picking and has rounds

Prepare loading and following pick to load process when loading trucks

Manage picking/loading teams

Willing to work overtime as and when required

Housekeeping

Manage the team regarding productivity and management

Prevent and manage shrinkage and damages

Facilitate implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Utilise Great Plains to draw reports

Manage staff and welfare of members

Manage the branch warehouse function

Involved in stock control and inventory function including stocktake preparation

Enforce safety and housekeeping programme on an ongoing basis

Load vehicles with a team and ensure stocks are loaded according to invoice

Assist with hashing of stock to ensure correct stock is picked

Able to discipline staff and to follow disciplinary procedures

Teamwork

Measuring performance i.e., loads, stock take, damages, and expired stock

Online reporting OP260 to keep track of packers/pickers and loaders

Ensure accurate picking, reduce damages and theft, regular stock rotation, Health and safety, bulk stock
