Job Description
Provide mission system engineering services during the continued implementation and evolution of the JPSS Ground System. Key task activities include the verification of the JPSS Ground System and overall JPSS missions including satellite and ground and mission level requirements and interfaces. Support the development of JPSS Compatibility Tests (JCTs) and Interface tests. The JCTs are the lynchpin tests serving as the incremental flight/ground compatibility tests. The interface, block ground system and system performance tests are the events used to verify mission level requirements. This position will be responsible for the development of test plans, test procedures, requirements verification acceptance criteria, and lead the test events.
Qualifications
- BS required. MS desirable
- 3+ years of relevant and practical experience in systems engineering providing requirements verification testing for large satellite ground systems that support level 0 and level 1 science level processing and data distribution
- Experience with NASA policies & procedures regarding systems engineering
- Excellent communication skills
