Job Description

Emerald Research Group is looking for a Senior Market Research Analyst with a client-oriented mindset who will execute high-impact projects for a variety of tech clients, blending qualitative, quantitative, and behavioral data to create compelling narratives and deliver impactful insights. 

At Emerald, our Senior Market Research Analysts work in project teams to help us project manage and execute high-quality work across all aspects of our custom market research projects including questionnaire design, fieldwork, data synthesis, and report creation. 
 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Market Research Methods

  • Produce surveys, screeners, discussion guides, and other work products that aligns with research design objectives
  • Understand and apply best practices and client-specific standards across various types of research methods
  • Understand how to frame research questions, developing an approach that addresses both explicit and implicit business questions
  • Oversee programming of surveys with limited supervision and monitor fieldwork under direction from a more senior colleague
  • Understand the proposal creation process, contributing where needed

Data Analysis & Quality Control

  • Create crosstabs in Decipher and Q that are properly formatted for review by senior colleagues, tapping in support for more complex data cuts as needed
  • Look across inputs to draw insights and conclusions
  • Identify data errors, inconsistencies, and misrepresentations and propose potential solutions or adjustments to correct them
  • Screen for quality control in participant recruitment 

Storytelling

  • Deliver insights and reports that are actionable, prescriptive, relevant, and tailored to the client’s unique business problem
  • Create visuals that convey learnings accurately to communicate to a diverse set of people, audiences, and skill levels
  • Participate in client-facing presentations with the help of more senior colleagues

Leadership

  • Actively contribute to discussions and demonstrate a desire to engage with clients and teams, camera on or in-person
  • Demonstrate a willingness to take on new challenges
  • Bring a solutions-oriented mindset, developing ideas and recommendations to address challenges

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience

  • A 4-year Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • A minimum of 2 years of market research, marketing, or consulting experience

Tools

  • Experience with statistical software and research tools (e.g. Q, Decipher, SPSS Data Collection, Qualtrics)
  • Excellent Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and written / verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate advanced competency with the key tools you use daily in order to improve your productivity and efficiency (i.e., shortcuts and macros)

Additional Information

Details Of Position:

  • Full-time position reporting to our VP
  • Salary pay range: $70,000 - $80,000  
  • Remote position (We welcome all applicants; however, we will prioritize those residing in the Pacific and Central time zones.): Open to supporting your team and clients during Pacific Time hours (8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. ideally)
