Job Description

OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

The Senior Director, OEM Automotive Sales will own, formulate and lead OEM & Tier 1 account strategies with our clients global automotive and regional account sales teams throughout the Americas Region. Tenacious, with a will to win, this individual will establish and maintain key relationships with industry influencers, channel partners, direct customers, and other industry participants…. to explode revenue and market share. This opportunity carries responsibility for one of our client’s largest, critical divisions reporting directly to VP of Sales & Marketing, Global Automotive and works closely with the Americas sales and application engineering teams.



Qualifications

Background & Unique Abilities likely include:


Extensive relationships and progressive sales successes across the automotive industry supplying tier one and OEMs with design- in type of semiconductor based products.  


• Demonstrated, success driving revenue; meeting and exceeding quota with new and existing sales in the USA, Automotive OEM/Tier 1 industry with a well-established network especially in Detroit and West coast area.

• Understanding of all aspects of the automotive OEM business engagement, development cycle and experience delivering to TS16949 and/or QS9000 quality requirements including incidence management.

• Technically proficient with long sales cycle automotive OEM wireless semiconductor/embedded/module product sales (802.11/GPS/LTE/GSM/CDMA/BT/Zigbee)

• Self-starter, competitive professional who ‘enters races to win- not just finish’- while displaying exceptional sportsmanship. Uses time productively; is focused on right opportunities, maximizes efficiency, and meets challenging work goals. 

• Uncanny ability to engage and effectively communicate technical information to engineers, peers and C-Level executives. 

• Integrity, creativity, common sense, tenacity and sense of humor 

• Accustomed to regional travel, as needed to achieve success
