Job Description

The HR Administrator will provide logistical recruiting support to help Element 84 attract, screen, select and onboard qualified individuals to fill our technical job openings as well as manage the day-to-day human resources tasks required for Element 84 onboarding and employee relations.

Duties & Responsibilities

RECRUITING (50%)

  • Support the full-cycle recruiting process, which includes scheduling for assigned open positions.
  • Compiling and communicating recruiting data, metrics and ensuring compliance with our hiring policies, practices, all applicable employment laws and company values
  • Oversee our applicant tracking system (Smart Recruiters) and approved job boards.
  • Work with hiring managers to identify job descriptions and posting roles through proper channels. Provide guidance and updates to hiring team members throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintaining recruiting assets and internal wiki pages to reflect the requirements of each step of the interview process
  • Act as liaison with external recruiters
  • Participate in interviewing qualified candidates and work with the hiring manager to map out the interviewing strategy for each one.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Act as backup to prepare and send offer letter packages to new employees.
  • Maintain the Careers, ATS, network pages with content to attract future candidates.
  • Maintain relationships with existing and prospective (passive) candidates to develop a pipeline

HR EMPLOYEE RELATIONS (50%)

  • Curate and deliver a high touch and inclusive onboarding experience that engages new hires and acclimates them to our culture, core values and processes
  • Follow up with the related clerical aspects of onboarding new employees, such as importing employee data into the HRIS, generating employment contracts, completion of required new hire forms, and notifying the relevant department(s) of employee's start date.
  • Conducts orientation of new employees to include first week scheduling, training and support of the E84 buddy program.
  • Coordinate with IT on the shipment and delivery of new hire technology and equipment
  • Prepare and maintain template communications and onboarding toolkits for use by Element 84 and other internal stakeholders
  • Ensure the new employee’s experience during their first 90 days is as memorable, seamless, rewarding, and stress-free as possible
  • Coordinate the efforts of all current employees who play a role in the new hire’s experience, including in-house operations and department heads.
  • Provides back up support to other Element 84 HR team members during peak periods or for out of office coverage
  • Ad hoc projects that support the Onboarding experience strategy and initiatives
  • Generate employee reports to support HR Compliance
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Here are the guidelines we're looking at to gauge experience and skillset:

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in human resources including recruitment 
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business, or related area preferred
  • Experience working with an HRIS and an applicant tracking system preferred
  • Strong communication skills, writing skills, and interpersonal skills 
  • Adept at problem-solving and conflict resolution in a high-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and organizational nature 
  • A reputation for discretion, integrity, judgment and responsiveness
  • Solid technology skills with proficiency in Google Apps (Gmail, Google Docs and Drive) as well as Trello, Word, Excel, and Zoom

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages, and other items (up to 20 lbs) between offices.
  • Ability to walk up and down two flights of stairs/
