Job Description

Element 84 is growing and our business processes need to scale with it! This position will report directly to the President (Tracey Pilone) and assist with updating those processes like recruiting, onboarding, financial reporting, business model development, diversity best practices and project monitoring as well as working with key projects and clients.  Growing companies have constantly changing needs, so the candidate for this role will need to be ready to change with them.  A strong generalist with enthusiasm for tackling problems head on would be a great fit.  If you are interested in launching your own business in the future this will be an excellent opportunity for you to help a business operate day to day.  

General duties and projects will include:

  • Working with accounting to improve financial reporting and projections
  • Implement new processes to ensure contractual compliance as new projects are on-boarded, including working with the Information Security Lead
  • Assist in developing and implementing client management processes
  • Manage company level administrative tasks and strategy including business insurance strategy 
  • Assist the president in development of presentations
  • Ongoing business process analysis and improvement 
  • Communicate, explain, answer details to further goals established by the President
  • Potential to help launch & oversee small subsidiaries 
  • Selection of new and streamlining of existing business process software including time tracking, benefits administration, budget tracking and accounting.

You'll care about writing. Our team is remote and written communication is essential. In addition to caring about a well-crafted email and a succinct conference abstract, you understand that good writing is good design and engineering.

Qualifications

  • Assessing our current recruiting process for updates and scaling; paying attention to the candidate and internal E84 experience
  • Finding out if it's ok to discuss a particular project outside of the company, working with the team to figure out what they want to say and the customer for approval
  • Draft a presentation for Tracey for the team about E84's finances

Here are the guidelines we're looking at to gauge experience and skillset:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in business operations or management.
  • 4 + years of experience in a business process role
  • Working knowledge of government contract provisions
  • MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Atlasssian Suite (Jira, Confluence)
  • History of working with confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with a technical team 
  • History of working with government contracts

This position may be governed by a federal contract which requires the applicant to be a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
