Job Description

Scope: Provide technical assistance in all areas related to manufacturing and quality.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Recommend, develop and implement efficient and sound manufacturing processes.
  • Assist in the design and manufacture of tooling, fixturing and special tooling.
  • Assist in problem solving with emphasis on follow up and correction.
  • Assist in machine set-up.
  • Work directly with manufacturing on shop floor layout to insure a smooth and efficient flow of in process parts.
  • Ongoing efforts towards the reduction of set-up time, scrap and rework.
  • Assist in tool crib reorganization.
  • Write manufacturing routings for new component parts.
  • Update manufacturing routings after release of engineering drawings.
  • Implementing the quality system to carry out the plans and achieve objectives.
  • Perform other related activities as directed by Engineering Manager.

Authorities:

  • Take a lead position in the development of engineering prototype units to be manufactured.
  • To continually improve customer satisfaction and retention. 
  • Communicate RTL Quality Policy and Practices to all personnel.
  • Individual has the authority and responsibility to complete assigned tasks.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required (Unique and Measurable):

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years in mechanical or industrial technology or equivalent.
  • Five years’ experience in manufacturing.
  • Three years’ experience in technical functions in manufacturing operations.
  • Background in CNC oriented manufacturing.
