Senior Account Executive
- Full-time
Company Description
Elaborate is an early-stage, stealth startup moving a million miles a minute in our mission to redesign the lab testing experience. Started by an ex-Oscar exec and funded by some of the most iconic investors and entrepreneurs, we are building software that acts as an intermediary between doctors and their patients. We integrate with doctors’ EMRs and analyze patient data with our proprietary clinical insights engine, providing a guided, innovative health experience unlike anything seen before in the market.
Job Description
We are looking for a high-energy and independent sales professional to be an integral part of a quickly growing sales team. You will sell our software products and services to mid-sized, independently owned, and operated clinical practices (sized 10+ providers) specializing in primary care services. Today, our offering is primarily available in the Northeast region, with a concentration in New York City and surrounding areas.
This role will ultimately have a very close partnership with both the CEO and Head of Sales.
Qualifications
The top qualities that we’re looking for:
Get it done. You are hungry to exceed your goals and continuously challenge yourself to beat your own successful track record. You’re a top performer eager to take your future into your own hands, determined to surpass your own wildest expectations (including around compensation).
Independent. You are an entrepreneur at heart. You thrive in a fast-paced, changing, and dynamic environment, where you have the independence to decide how to best achieve your goals. You ask for forgiveness versus permission and aren’t afraid to take a couple of missteps when chasing the golden goose.
Outcomes drive. You know that what you do day and outcomes down to the outcomes you deliver for the team. You are not afraid to ask for help and do so regularly to ensure the company meets its goals. You hate excuses. You don’t have an ego and know it takes all of us working together to meet our milestones.
The type of work you’ll do:
Deliver growth. Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by owning the full sales cycle from prospect creation, value proposition, negotiation, and deal closure. As you develop the sales opportunity, you will identify the necessary decision-makers and influencers of the prospective deal, working with multiple stakeholders to make the close. You will be expected to understand our market, find creative ways to engage our potential customers, continually refine your sales tactics, and amplify our value proposition to clinicians and clinical operators.
Inform product and marketing strategy. Understand the pain points and key business objectives of prospective partners. Provide strategic insights and feedback to the Product and Operations teams on what is working and what is not, to drive increased sales velocity and adoption. Occasionally, you will work cross-functionally with our Marketing team on external-facing promotional and marketing materials.
Enable customer success. Collaborate with internal ops and customer success team to transition new customers onto the platform after close and set up these customers to realize the product’s value.
Own strategic community building. Nurture long-term relationships to convert high-value clients. Build a reputation and network in the community – get people excited to talk to you. Partner with CEO and Head of Sales on roadshow opportunities, locally and on the national stage.
What you’ve done before:
What we’ve written above should give you a pretty good sense of whether this is the right fit for you. If you’re looking for a comfortable, 9-5, routine and predictable job, where you execute on orders from someone else, this is not the right fit.
To help those who are still on the fence, we’ve included a couple of guidelines of what we think the best candidates will have done before. That said, we eagerly accept non-traditional candidates who are able to show us why they’ll be amazing for this role.
Most likely, you have:
3+ years of experience in a quota-carrying, B2B sales function.
Strong plus if you have experience selling into independent clinical practices or clinical leadership at larger organizations. You know how to speak the lingo and are familiar with the day2day flow of clinical practices.
Intrinsically motivated. No one needs to tell you what to do, you just do it
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills skills
Demonstrated ability to summarize key insights and effectively communicate them to leadership (especially Product and Operations).
Additional Information
What you will get in return for being an awesome member of the team:

We prioritize flexibility, with work-from-home days and a whole MONTH remote during February so you escape the cold winter and realize your dream of being a snowbird a few years early. Plus, we’ve got a generous time-off policy.
We commit to 10% of your time being spent on projects of your choosing to help us achieve our Company goals. Annually, this time culminates with a hackathon of epic proportions, with multiple days dedicated to team bonding and innovation (plus pizza).
We give you a front-row seat to building a business from the ground up, with the added benefit of having secured capital to invest in early product development and company infrastructure. There is no better way to get a crash course on how to start your own business, and we commit to supporting you wholly if you choose to pursue that path.
