Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Architect to join our dynamic team in Kuwait City, Kuwait. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a key design leader, responsible for delivering exceptional architectural solutions while maintaining the highest standards of design excellence. You will act as the primary point of contact for all design-related matters, collaborating seamlessly with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects are executed with precision, innovation, and transparency. This position offers the opportunity to lead architectural teams, drive design strategy, and shape the future of our built environment through your expertise and leadership.
- Lead and manage architectural design teams across multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring clear communication, well-defined tasks, and measurable targets
- Evaluate, document, monitor, and control client briefs while maintaining ownership of design direction and project vision
- Coordinate effectively across all disciplines including Architecture, Landscape, 3D Visualization, MEP, and Interior Design to deliver cohesive, high-quality architectural products
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients, external consultants, and internal stakeholders, providing responsive and transparent communication
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of design briefs, producing sketches, options, and diagrams to effectively communicate design opportunities and challenges
- Establish, chair, and document project team meetings and coordination sessions, ensuring all stakeholders remain aligned on project objectives and milestones
- Monitor and maintain project milestones, ensuring timely delivery of design phases within approved budgets
- Review and verify drawings and specifications for accuracy, ensuring seamless coordination between disciplines and consultants
- Implement and oversee quality assurance and quality control procedures to maintain design standards and regulatory compliance
- Manage and coordinate internal and external changes through formal change control procedures, minimizing project disruption
- Mentor and support team members' professional development, recognizing individual strengths and fostering a collaborative, inclusive work environment
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and building codes throughout the project lifecycle
- Facilitate smooth transitions between design, project, and post-contract teams to maintain project continuity and quality
Qualifications
**Education and Certifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture with RIBA Parts 1, 2, and 3 or equivalent qualification
- Registered architect status (ARB or equivalent in country of origin)
- RIBA or equivalent professional membership preferred
**Required Experience:**
- Minimum 12 years of professional architectural experience
- At least 4 years of experience as a project architect or in a senior design leadership role
- Proven experience managing architectural teams and coordinating multi-disciplinary projects
- Demonstrated expertise in design coordination and quality assurance/quality control procedures
- Strong background working in office environments as part of collaborative teams
**Preferred Experience:**
- Resident architect or on-site project experience
- Experience in high-rise building design and construction
- Proven track record of successful client liaison and stakeholder management
- Experience with change management and regulatory compliance in complex projects
**Technical Skills and Tools:**
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for architectural design and documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
- Strong skills in design visualization and presentation software (Photoshop, 3D Max)
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and workflows
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
