Job Description

CGI and visualisation

  • Produce high-quality renders, aerial views, eye-level perspectives, axonometric diagrams and planting visualisations for milestone submissions from Concept through Detailed Design.
  • Build and refine 3D scenes from Revit LA, Civil 3D, SketchUp or Rhino models, working with BIM Coordinators so that visuals stay consistent with the current design.
  • Represent planting accurately: species, canopy form, seasonal condition and growth stage, including maturity sequences where the client needs to see how a scheme establishes over time.
  • Produce animations, fly-throughs and real-time walkthroughs for client workshops and bid interviews.
  • Carry out post-production to a consistent finish, including entourage, atmosphere, lighting and colour grading appropriate to the Gulf climate.

Graphic design and presentation

  • Translate design concepts into clear visual narratives for client presentations, design reviews and workshops.
  • Design and typeset milestone reports, masterplan documents, design statements and presentation decks in InDesign and PowerPoint.
  • Produce rendered plans, sections, planting palettes, material boards, and sustainability and water-strategy diagrams.
  • Develop and maintain project graphic standards: colour palettes, drawing conventions, symbology and presentation templates.
  • Maintain organised image, texture, vegetation and entourage libraries with consistent naming and version control.

Bids, awards and business development

  • Support Design Managers and the bids team with proposal graphics, cover and divider design, project-experience sheets and capability material.
  • Prepare competition boards and award-entry visuals, and write photography briefs for completed projects.
  • Turn around bid-critical visuals to tight deadlines without dropping below the department's quality bar.

Quality, standards and brand

  • Review and redline graphic and CGI outputs from junior designers, giving structured and specific feedback.
  • Check all client-facing visuals against approved templates and Omrania by Egis brand guidelines before issue.
  • Balance creative quality with technical accuracy, so that visuals never promise a design the drawings do not support.

Qualifications

  • Degree in graphic design, visual communication, architecture, landscape architecture or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years producing visualisation and graphic design for landscape, architecture, urban design or masterplanning practices.
  • A portfolio showing both photorealistic CGI and editorial layout work, with landscape or public realm projects clearly represented.
  • Expert command of at least one production renderer and one real-time engine, plus the full Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of design drawings and 3D models, sufficient to work directly from design team files.
  • Proven ability to deliver to competition and bid deadlines while managing several projects at once.
  • Experience reviewing and improving the work of others.
