Job Description

 

 

  • Review, analyze, and verify electrical system designs, components, and solutions for railway infrastructure, including traction power systems, signaling systems, and track circuits, for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project specifications
  • Verify that railway electrical designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and applicable electrical codes (FRA, EN standards, and railway-specific requirements) before implementation
  • Prepare detailed design review reports and technical documentation specific to railway projects, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions
  • Perform electrical simulations and verification testing to validate design performance for railway systems and ensure compliance with project requirements and operational safety standards
  • Collaborate with railway design engineers, track specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to identify design discrepancies and recommend optimization solutions for rail network integration
  • Troubleshoot design-related issues and provide technical guidance to support railway project teams in resolving engineering challenges related to electrification and signaling systems
  • Maintain comprehensive technical files, design records, and verification documentation for all reviewed railway projects
  • Communicate review findings and design recommendations to internal stakeholders, project managers, railway operators, and external partner 

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in railway electrical systems design and engineering
  • Extensive design experience with railway infrastructure systems, including traction power systems, signaling systems, and track circuits
  • Demonstrated expertise in electrical design verification, testing, and quality assurance processes for railway applications
  • Advanced proficiency with electrical design software and tools (CAD, MATLAB, SPICE, or equivalent programs)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and industry regulations (FRA, EN standards, and railway-specific requirements)
  • Proven ability to prepare detailed design review reports, technical documentation, and interpret technical drawings for complex railway projects
  • Strong expertise in circuit design, power systems analysis, and electrical system development specific to rail networks
