Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical P6 Planner - Transportation to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6, with a focus on transportation and logistics initiatives. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage complex transportation planning scenarios.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules in Oracle Primavera P6, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives
- Perform critical path analysis and identify scheduling risks, bottlenecks, and mitigation strategies
- Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across multiple transportation projects
- Create and update project baselines, tracking actual progress against planned schedules
- Generate detailed scheduling reports and dashboards for stakeholder communication and decision-making
- Analyze project data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for schedule optimization
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operational teams to gather scheduling requirements and constraints
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies and organizational scheduling standards
- Monitor schedule performance and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines
- Support project teams in resolving scheduling conflicts and resource constraints
- Maintain documentation of scheduling assumptions, constraints, and change requests
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or project management
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Primavera P6 (advanced proficiency required)
- Proven experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain project planning
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling methodologies and best practices
- Proficiency in critical path analysis and schedule risk assessment
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with stakeholder communication and reporting
- Familiarity with project management tools and software (Microsoft Project or similar tools)
- Knowledge of transportation industry practices and logistics operations (preferred)
- Experience with schedule optimization and resource leveling (preferred)
