Job Description

Egis is looking for an experienced M&E Technician with Electrical Qualifications to complement our Maintenance team in Sydney looking after Transurban’s Sydney Southern Network. This will include the motorway and tunnel environment covering the Eastern Distributor, Cross City Tunnel, M5 East, M5 South-West, M4 West, M4 East, M8, M4–M5 Link and Rozelle Interchange - 40km's of interconnected tunnels and open road motorways.

Reporting to the M&E Supervisors, these positions are responsible for maintaining the Mechanical and Electrical equipment in both open road & tunnel environments working in a team of skilled M&E Technicians including inspecting and maintaining the following systems amongst other tasks in an industrial environment.

  • HV&LV Electrical Distribution Systems

  • HVAC & Exhaust Systems

  • Fire Systems

  • Mechanical Ventilation Systems

  • Water Treatment Facilities 

  • Drainage and Tunnel Sumps

Candidates holding electrical qualification, MR licence and experience working in a similar environment are encouraged to apply, as are those from outside the industry with transferrable skill sets.

Qualifications

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Electrical licence 

  • White Card

  • Australian C Class (or above) Drivers Licence

  • Right to Work in Australia

  • Drive and enthusiasm to be part of one of the biggest infrastructure projects in NSW

  • A strong work ethic

  • Problem solving / strong customer results orientation

  • Understanding and commitment to occupational health and safety requirements and the environment

  • Experience/willingness to work shifts over a rotational roster including nights, some weekends and occasional public holidays as part of.

Additional Information

Highly desirable:

  • HV Switching

  • Full ARC Licence

  • Industrial maintenance experience

  • Roadways equipment maintenance experience

Roster and Pay:

This role operates on a rotating 12-hour day/night shift roster (typically 4 on/4 off or 5 on/5 off), offering excellent earning potential in line with an Enterprise Agreement.

  • Base rate: $50.51/hr

  • Night shift loading: +30%

  • Weekend rate: 200% (double time)

  • Overtime: paid at 200%

  • 5 weeks annual leave

  • RDO accrual
