Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Logistic Manager to join our consultancy firm in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will oversee all logistics operations, supply chain coordination, and vendor management to ensure seamless service delivery for our clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams while maintaining operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Logistic Manager is responsible for coordinating and monitoring all logistics-related activities across projects to ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment, permits, documents, and support services in alignment with project schedules and PMC requirements. The role includes following up with consultants and other stakeholders to track pending actions, approvals, resolve delays, and maintain smooth project flow; reviewing documents received from consultants such as logistics plans, to ensure they are complete, compliant, and aligned with project requirements; managing logistics plans, reporting progress, escalating risks, and ensuring compliance with project procedures, client expectations, and regulatory requirements. The Logistics Manager also supports project teams by maintaining accurate records, coordinating meetings and communications, and ensuring that all logistics dependencies are proactively addressed to avoid disruption to project execution
- Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution across multiple client engagements
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery and quality standards
- Oversee inventory levels, warehouse operations, and stock management to minimize waste and maximize resource utilization
- Lead and mentor logistics team members, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities
- Analyze logistics data and metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement
- Manage budgets and financial forecasting for logistics operations, ensuring adherence to approved spending limits
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all logistics activities
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on logistics performance for senior management and clients
- Collaborate with project managers and consultants to understand client requirements and customize logistics solutions
- Resolve operational challenges and implement corrective actions to maintain service quality and client satisfaction
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in logistics management, supply chain operations, or related field
- Proven track record of managing logistics operations in a consultancy or professional services environment
- Strong expertise in supply chain management, vendor management, and inventory optimization
- Proficiency with logistics software, ERP systems, and warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing logistics teams
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement
- Knowledge of logistics regulations, compliance requirements, and international shipping standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Preferred: Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Preferred: Familiarity with international logistics and cross-border operations
- Preferred: Background in risk management and business continuity planning
