Job Description
EGIS is currently looking for a highly skilled BIM Modeler – Architecture & Landscape to help us deliver multi-disciplinary projects. The role will be placed at the BIM management team level. The role is expected to lead the BIM modelling for architecture and landscape discipline as well help with setup, training and development of automation around Autodesk Revit, ACC and Navisworks with the project BIM manager. This role is not limited to just BIM modelling tasks only.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure the project’s compliance with the given policies and processes, and to ensure timely implementation and completion
- Works with BIM lead, Design Leads and Engineers to develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures, and to ensure timely implementation and completion
- Understand BIM modelling process and able to manage all BIM related activities from project start up to project completion
- Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards, in accordance to company QA/QC process
- Good knowledge in content creation and able to create different types of parametric and non-parametric families
- Strong knowledge in LOD requirements
- Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks
- Good knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, with experience of clash detection and producing clash report
- Able to produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D models of dry and wet utility systems using Autodesk Civil 3D and other BIM tools
- Analyze and optimize utility layouts to improve project efficiency and reduce conflicts
- Create detailed documentation and drawings for construction and stakeholder review
- Implement BIM standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design conflicts and ensure project coherence
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in Civil 3D, BIM, and utility design technologies
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members on modeling and BIM practices
- Participate in client meetings to present utility designs and address technical queries
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering or related field, with a focus on utility design and modeling
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD
• Extensive experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) in civil engineering projects
• In-depth knowledge of dry and wet utility systems and civil infrastructure design
• Strong 3D modeling skills and ability to create detailed, accurate models
• Familiarity with GIS software and its integration with BIM workflows
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Autodesk Civil 3D certification is preferred
