Job Description
- Design support: Assist in the design of foundations, retaining walls, slopes, and ground improvement systems. Perform geotechnical calculations (bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability).
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze lab and field data to determine soil properties and geotechnical parameters. Contribute to geotechnical reports, including interpretations and design recommendations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers and project managers to understand project specifications and requirements; collaborate with construction teams to ensure accurate implementation of blueprints.
- Modifying and Optimizing Designs: Edit and revise design documents to reflect changes in design or project scope; optimize designs to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure high accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations; maintain organized project files and documentation for easy access and reference.
- Interpreting project briefs and meeting with Team Leader, Project Manager, engineers, and clients (if needed) to ensure all blueprints and technical drawings are completed to specifications.
- Visiting sites (if needed) to gather information and determine limitations and feasibility of designs.
- Site investigations: Assist in planning and executing geotechnical fieldwork.
Communicating potential design issues to engineers and Team Leader/Project Manager.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university in civil engineering or any relevant field
SKILLS
- Having a solid understanding of design principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry standards, national code and regulations
- A completed apprenticeship would be advantageous.
- Superb work ethic and ability to accept feedback.
- Willing to work overtime when required.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience is required
- Experience in an engineering consultant firm and contractor.
- Experience abroad is a strong advantage
LANGUAGES
- Indonesia and English: it is required to understand reading, writing, and speaking.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Team-oriented and client-oriented with clear, positive and accountable attitude
- Flexibility to handle tight deadlines, manage priorities, and travel to domestic and SEA
- Necessary to be methodical and have an attention to detail but staying open and positive
COMPENSATION
Compensation will be adapted to experience and education.
