Including, but not limited to, Toll Collection, Traffic Management, Tunnel Safety Management, Emergency and Contingency Planning, Equipment and Infrastructure Inspection and Maintenance.
Job Description
Egis Road and Tunnel Operation are recruiting for the role of MOCC Operations Deputy Manager to join our team in the Motorway Operations Control Centre (MOCC) based at the Tunnel Control Building in East Wall.
The MOCC Operations Deputy Manager is responsible for supporting the MOCC Operations Manager in the overall supervision of operations in the MOCC, including the MTCC and Tunnel Operations as required. Your commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, operational excellence, and customer service will contribute to the overall success of the MOCC.
- Act as the primary support to the MOCC Manager in managing day-to-day control room operations, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of services, including MTCC and Tunnel Operations.
- Provide leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Step in as the acting manager in the absence of the MOCC Manager to ensure continuity of operations.
- Serve as a secondary point of contact for the client, operational partners, and key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Assist in maintaining relationships with stakeholders by supporting regular liaison and feedback processes.
- Ensure operations adhere to applicable contractual and regulatory requirements in collaboration with the MOCC Manager, including resource allocation.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing MOCC monthly reports and KPIs, incident reports, and other operational reports as required.
- Assist in overseeing the MTCC and Tunnel Incident Management Systems and communications to ensure they are timely, accurate, and aligned with client expectations.
- Collaborate in the development of standard operating procedures for critical decisions and day-to-day MOCC activities.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- NFQ Level 8 or equivalent in engineering, information technology, or similar.
- Knowledge of road and traffic systems, in particular NIMS and SCADA, is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick and sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail.
