Job Description
We are on the hunt for a skilled Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team, on a maximum-term contract (8 months). This role can be part-time - 32 hours, or full time - 40 hours. (0.8 - 1 FTE).
We are looking for a candidate who is not only willing and eager to learn but also takes initiative and demonstrates a high level of self-motivation. This role will assist the Payroll Manager in delivering our NZ Payroll and will be dedicated to efficient and effective payroll processing.
The ideal candidate will be based in Dunedin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage our New Zealand payroll.
- Assist with Australian monthly payroll operations as needed.
- Work flexibly with the New Zealand time zone.
- Handle payroll inquiries and effectively communicate with stakeholders across various departments.
Qualifications
- New Zealand Payroll experience.
- Australian Payroll experience highly desired.
- Micropay experience highly desired.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
- Exceptional initiative-taking and self-motivation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work remotely and autonomously with the flexibility to come into the office when necessary.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
