Job Description

The National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance) is the nation’s public-private partnership for suicide prevention, based at EDC. The Action Alliance brings together senior executives from government, business, and the non-profit sector to champion suicide prevention as a national priority and advance implementation of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention through collaboration and innovation. This role will report to the Partnership Manager and be a central player in organizing and facilitating Action Alliance functioning and promoting the effective execution of dynamic programs supported by influential private and public sector organizations. The Administrative Coordinator will have a demonstrable role in delivering national and systemic impact.

This position is open to US-based telecommuters with a preference for candidates based in the Washington DC metro area. Quarterly travel to Washington DC is required.

You will:

  • Provide essential administrative leadership in organizing and supporting high tempo Action Alliance activities and projects
  • Manage and coordinate scheduling for Partnership Manager as needed, ensuring identification of logistical needs
  • Schedule meetings with both internal and external executive level leaders influential in the public and private sector organizations, as requested.
  • Proactively work with team members to track deliverables and other due outs to ensure timeliness of deliverables.
  • Create high quality records of external partner meetings in the form of minutes/notes and other summary documentation.
  • Provide administrative organizational support to key project management processes.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of training and education

Skills & Experience:

  • 3–5 years related administrative coordination experience, including solid experience with three or more computer applications
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and aptitude for details
  • Experience working with executive level offices and/or support staffs
  • Strong writing and organizational skills
  • Effective communications skills

Preferred Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and education

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range (full-time equivalent) of approximately $53,000 to $55,000. Salary offers are made based on market analysis and internal equity.
