Job Description
The Rhode Island Center for Early Learning Professionals, located in Warwick, RI, seeks a professional with strong administrative skills to serve as the Senior Administrative Assistant. This is a hybrid position based in Warwick, RI with some days in office. The Senior Administrative Assistant reports to the Project Associate in EDC’s Rhode Island Office.
The Rhode Island Center for Early Learning Professionals (RI CELP) is funded by the Rhode Island Department of Human Services to advance the quality of Rhode Island’s early childhood programs including public school, Head Start, center-based child care, and family child care early learning programs. The RI CELP serves as the hub for professional development and technical assistance supports for the early childhood community of providers. The RI CELP works collaboratively with state agencies and other partners to support high quality early childhood services across the state of Rhode Island.
You will:
- Support Spanish-speaking education professionals through the process of becoming licensed childcare providers with technology assistance such as navigating accounts and online courses
- Provide support to Early Childhood education providers in Rhode Island via phone and email by answering questions and helping with technology-related needs
- Proof-read translated professional development and technical assistance materials, and provide translation as needed
- Assist Data Manager with queries, report generation, and compiling data
- Coordinate communication and project activities with external partners in collaboration with facilitator(s)
- Oversee day-to-day front office operations of the RI PDTA Hub, including maintaining office records and ordering supplies as needed
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
Other skills/experience:
- 1-3 years related administrative experience
- Demonstrable computer and technology skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, and survey tools
- Ability to manage time and complete tasks autonomously with great attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal required
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish required

This position offers an anticipated full-time equivalent annual base salary range of approximately $40,000 to $67,000. Salary offers are made based on market analysis and internal equity.
