Job Description
Position Description
The Technical Assistant will support the Sr. Education Advisor/Institutional Capacity Specialist and the Senior PD Specialist with document preparation, meeting coordination and scheduling, record keeping, travel arrangements, and other administrative tasks in support of technical component 2, as needed and/or required. The Technical Assistant will effectively interact with a diverse staff, engage as a member of the project team, accept feedback, troubleshoot questions or problems, and seek help, supervision, and support, as needed. The Technical Assistant will report to the Sr. Education Advisor. This is a full-time position based in Cairo, Egypt (no relocation allowances are provided for this position).
Specific Responsibilities
· Coordinates compiles, and formats reports, annual work plans, and other technical documents.
· Assists the technical components in research, preparing documents related to different technical aspects.
· Develop visual graphics and formatting of documents.
· Provide Translation of documents and in meetings, as needed.
· Handle travel arrangements for international experts (flights, accommodation, and other related arrangements).
· Participate in technical meetings, write minutes of meetings, and record action points.
· Follow up/ send reminders on the action points agreed upon during technical meetings.
· Develop (support developing) and implement documentation and archiving structure/system on SharePoint.
· Coordinates and communicates the team needs from the admin and operation (accountant; office manager, IT, logistics, event manager, database coordinator).
· Assume other responsibilities as requested
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
· Suitable graduate degree or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred in business administration or related area; or equivalent experience.
· 1-2 years of experience working in office administration.
· At least one (1) year of experience working in an international organization or agency.
· Basic translation skills from English to Arabic and vice versa.
Desired Qualifications
· Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Strong organizational and analytical skills.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic.
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including local project staff, international staff, consultants, and government officials.
· Ability to multitask while attending to detail and efficiency; and
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
Language
Fluency in Arabic is required. Proficiency in English is required.
