Job Description

The US Division has an opening for part time (with potential for full time) Senior Curriculum/Instructional Design Associate reporting to a Director in our STEM and Workforce Success portfolio. The position is open to remote work for US-based telecommuters

The Senior Curriculum/Instructional Design Associate will work on multiple projects related to middle school mathematics instruction and related teacher professional learning. The work will include working with a team on development of written materials, tasks, and other supporting materials to guide mathematics teacher professional development workshops. Other tasks will vary depending on the project, but will be connected to education in STEM disciplines (science, mathematics, engineering, and mathematics) and will include a particular focus on equity and access for all students. The ideal candidate will have worked at the school or district level developing or overseeing mathematics curriculum and/or teacher professional learning opportunities. Teaching experience, especially in middle grades mathematics and/or other STEM areas, and experience working with multilingual learners is are also highly valued for this position.  in one or more content areas..

The US Division of EDC partners with school districts, state/local departments of health and education, industries, and nonprofits to improve health, education, and economic outcomes for millions of individuals, particularly those living in marginalized, high-risk, and underserved communities.

You will provide curriculum and/or instructional design services including

  • research, needs assessment,  planning overall approach, strategizing, creative influence
  • writing; editing
  • conceptualizing and leading product dissemination, evaluation, customization
  • consulting with specialists and other experts
  • developing accessible presentations
  • investigating solutions to potential problems, which may result in products, programs, services or inventions
  • analyzing trends and identifying opportunities
  • performing or supervising formative testing of instructional materials with educators to inform development and refinement of materials
  • contributing to and/or leading proposal design & development and project implementation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Master’s degree or PhD or equivalent combination of training & education in a related field preferred
  • At least 7 years of experience in mathematics education and leadership experience (for example mathematics coaching, teacher leader, math curriculum committees, etc).
  • Experience developing and reviewing written materials for varied audiences.
  • Strong, demonstrable written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and successfully work on multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to travel on an as needed basis.
  • Fluency in multiple languages and/or experience as a multilingual learner preferred.

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $71,000 to $110,000. Salary offers are made based on market analysis and internal equity.
