The Technical Assistance Resource Center (TARC), based at EDC, supports Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting awardees in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and five territories in strengthening home visiting services to improve outcomes for pregnant women, children, and families. The TARC provides evidence-based, proactive services tailored to address the urgent and evolving needs and priorities of home visiting programs. Also based at EDC is the newly funded MIECHV Innovation Technical Assistance Center (ITAC). This center provides technical assistance through 1:1 engagement, a learning collaborative, and resources to support MIECHV Innovation awardees to develop, implement, and evaluate innovations that leverage new technologies and/or data collection to enhance the delivery and extend the impact of high-quality early childhood home visiting programs. In addition, the Innovation TA Center will engage all MIECHV awardees to identify promising innovative initiatives, strategies, and resources to share with the field.

Job Description
EDC, with support from, Maternal Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Technical Assistance Resource Center (TARC) and the newly funded MIECHV Innovation TA Center (ITAC) is hiring a full time Technical Assistance Associate II to work across the two MIECHV TA centers.
The Technical Assistance Associate II is responsible for supporting a cadre of awardees as an implementation TA specialist for the Innovation TA center and as a Data and CQI TA specialist for the TARC.
In this role you will:
- Cultivate existing and new partnerships with peers, awardees, and federal partners through regular team meetings
- Lead and facilitate targeted technical assistance to a cadre of Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting awardees,
- Plan, deliver and follow up to onsite visits, and contribute to development and review of project reports and innovative resources to move the field.
Qualifications
This position requires experience in TA provision to in-person and virtual teams of local/state public health-related professionals and federal staff, specific to home visiting and early childhood 0-5 systems as well as expertise in maternal and child health topics including maternal and child health, health equity and social determinants of health, program design and implementation, workforce development, use of new technology in home visiting, family recruitment and retention, early childhood systems, performance measurement, data, and continuous quality improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with 7–10 years related experience in the disciplinary area of early childhood education or public health including experience with providing technical assistance
- Master’s degree with 5-8 years experience (as above) preferred
- A minimum of three years experience, and a preference of five (5) or more years providing direct technical assistance and expertise to in-person and virtual teams of local/state public health-related professionals and federal staff.
- Experience building and cultivating change through processes such as active implementation and relationship-based, awardee-led led technical assistance
- Ability to work in a data-driven environment leveraging continuous quality improvement
- Skill at building consensus, inspiring others to action, and leading peer-to-peer work teams.
- Commitment to working on, and contributing to, a collaborative and mission-driven team focused on improving maternal and child outcomes within MIECHV.
- Strong facilitation and/or public speaking skills
