The role…

The Senor International Recruiter contributes to positive and lasting change in the world by applying international recruiting experience and expertise to find talented candidates to fill key positions for our International Development Division (IDD) on proposals for upcoming projects that focus on education, youth, economic empowerment, and global health.  This person cultivates strong networks throughout the international development community to establish and maintain relationships with potential recruits for future proposal positions, while positioning EDC as a preferred employer international development professionals.

 

You will…

  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with IDD new business development, technical experts, project management teams, and HR to develop strategic recruitment campaigns for proposals and assists as needed, with recruitment for existing international projects.
  • Lead full lifecycle proposal recruitment efforts, providing talented candidates who meet or exceed all position requirements and strengthen overall proposals.
  • Develop, maintain, and increase candidate pipelines for all open and anticipated key personnel positions through research, social networking, and attending networking events to develop strong relationships with top talent.
  • Draft, edit and review CVs/resumes and biographies of key and named personnel on proposals
  • Adapt effectively to quickly changing priorities while providing a positive candidate experience for all applicants.
  • Internalize and champion EDC’s mission, vision, and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Qualifications

What skills do I need?

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 - 10 years of related experience or master’s degree with 5 - 8 years of related experience.
  • Full life-cycle recruitment experience for international development proposal positions using recruiting technology, including applicant tracking systems, and candidate databases.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high level of initiative, organization, and follow-through.
  • Strong writing and editing ability.
  • Ability to understand, respect, and adapt to cultural nuances in communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships while adhering to tight deadlines.

What skills are desired but not required?

  • Experience recruiting for USG-funded projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of USAID policies and regulations.
  • Desire and ability to travel to country offices.
  • Fluency in at least one second language (i.e., French, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, etc.) is desired.
