The purpose of the three-year, USAID-funded Education for Peace, Recovery, and Resilience (EPRR) activity is to expand access to learning opportunities in a safe and protective learning environment, while reinforcing resilience efforts and recovery trends for children and youth most affected by conflict.

Position Description

The Infrastructure Program Manager must be an experienced and independent professional who helps the project meet its goals and objectives by designing and managing the construction activities in a timely manner. S/he must provide expert guidance to both the COP as well as construction subcontractors. The types of construction, include, but are not limited to:

• Construction of temporary learning spaces.
• Construction of water and sanitation facilities.
• Refurbishment of existing learning spaces.
• Improving existing spaces to meet the physical “safe school” standard.

The candidate for the position of Infrastructure Program Manager shall have at a minimum the following qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering.

Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in small scale infrastructure development;
• At least 5 years’ experience in low-cost, context-appropriate infrastructure design and management of the related procurements;
• Prior experience in supervising long-term field staff and short-term U.S., third country, and local experts;
• Experience managing infrastructure projects in humanitarian settings is desired; and
• Must possess a Professional Engineer license from the United States.

Language:

Fluency in English is required.
