Job Description
The New Product Development Manager (Head Chef) will serve as the culinary lead, responsible for driving menu innovation, recipe creation, and overall food quality across the brand. This role combines strategic leadership with creative expertise to ensure that all culinary offerings align with the company’s standards, customer expectations, and brand identity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of innovative, high-quality menus and culinary concepts that reflect the brand’s vision and values.
- Create, test, and standardize recipes to ensure consistency, quality, and scalability across all outlets.
- Collaborate with the management team on new product development, seasonal promotions, and brand growth initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance food quality, presentation, and taste in line with brand standards.
- Partner with Procurement and Operations to optimize ingredient sourcing, cost efficiency, and supply chain consistency.
- Develop and train culinary teams on brand recipes, presentation standards, and food preparation techniques.
- Monitor customer feedback and industry trends to continuously improve menu offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage culinary budgets, ensuring effective cost control and resource utilization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive culinary experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or head chef role.
- Proven experience in menu and recipe development, product innovation, and culinary team leadership.
- Strong understanding of food trends, consumer preferences, and brand-driven culinary development.
- Excellent leadership, creativity, and communication skills.
- Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene (HACCP or equivalent) is an advantage.
