Job Description

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and manage national inventory levels across various locations to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
  • Demand Forecasting:

  • Utilize sales data, market trends, and historical information to forecast future product demand.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to create accurate demand forecasts.
  • Adjust forecasts based on seasonality, promotions, and shifts in market demand.
  • Supplier Coordination:

  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products, managing lead times and reorder points.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on delivery schedules and quantities to optimize inventory replenishment.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Analyze inventory metrics such as turnover rates, stockouts, and days of supply to improve inventory efficiency.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, demand forecasts, and supplier performance for senior management.
  • Collaboration:

  • Partner with the procurement, logistics, and sales teams to align inventory levels with business goals.
  • Communicate inventory issues and resolutions across different departments and stakeholders.
  • Inventory Optimization:

  • Develop strategies to reduce obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
  • Implement inventory replenishment models that minimize costs while maintaining service levels.
  • System Management:

  • Use inventory management software (e.g., ERP, WMS) to track and manage stock levels.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration,

or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain management.
  • Experience in a national or multi-location role is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and software (e.g., ERP, WMS, SAP).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
