Job Description
Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania is seeking compassionate, energetic, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Classroom Support Staff for an Extended School Year (ESY) Program. This is a summer-only opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping create a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment for students.
The ESY program serves school-age students (ages 6–21) with multiple disabilities, providing continued educational and behavioral support to help maintain and strengthen critical skills over the summer months.
Program Schedule:
2 required training days in June
Monday – Thursday, June 29th through July 31st
As a member of our Classroom Support Team, you will play a critical role in supporting students with both their educational and personal needs throughout the school day. This includes assisting with academic activities, supporting communication and social interactions, and helping students build independence in daily living skills.
This is a hands-on, active role that requires flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and nursing to ensure each student is supported in a safe, structured, and engaging environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with children with disabilities and/or challenging behavior preferred.
- CPR/First aid certification preferred.
