Job Description

Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania seeks energetic and passionate Teacher Assistants to serve students with complex needs in our 2024 extended school year summer program. The Teacher Assistant will provide supervision, care, and instructional support for students with significant disabilities, ranging in age from 5 up to age 21.

Essential responsibilities include assisting the classroom teacher with all lessons and activities, providing personal care, monitoring goal progress, supervising students, and general support of students throughout the day.

Strong communication skills, high energy, and desire to have fun with students in a team setting are a must! This position provides an excellent opportunity to be employed within a well-established program supporting students with disabilities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • College credits in education or related field preferred.
  • CDA or willingness to obtain CDA preferred. 
  • Prior experience working with preschool-aged children, children with disabilities, or experience supporting children with complex medical preferred.
