Job Description

Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania seeks energetic and passionate PDE certified teachers to serve young children with disabilities within our approved private school preschool classrooms. 

Our center-based programs provide services for children ages 3-6 with complex needs. Essential duties include classroom instruction, supervising classroom support staff, developing and implementing IEP’s, progress monitoring goals, and collaborating with therapists, staff members, and administration. We strive to hire those who are passionate about working with children with complex needs, have strong communications skills, enjoy a team environment and want to make a difference in the lives of those they assist. This position involves the school year plus a 5 or 6-week summer program.

We are looking for teachers who can create fun, engaging and literacy/play-based lessons. This position offers the right candidate an opportunity to become part of our multi-disciplinary supportive team working with children with disabilities and their families.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in areas of Special Education or Early Childhood Education preferred.

PDE Certification in Special Education, PreK-4, Early Childhood Education, Mentally and/or Physically Handicapped preferred.  Candidates will be considered if eligibility requirements for emergency certification are met.

Experience working with students with Autism preferred.
