Job Description

In this position, you will leverage your existing relationships with school districts and early childhood educational programs across the nation. On a daily basis, you will be working with educators on implementing effective classroom practices – bridging the science of child development into the classroom. To make the most of this opportunity, you will need a dynamic personality, high-quality communication skills, and excellent follow-through.

The ideal candidate will know how to complete strategic sales, develop effective marketing campaigns, and will:

Generate leads, manage accounts, and close sales with new and existing customers. Provide product demos and presentations to clients. Respond to RFP’s and submit detailed sales quotes & proposals. Assist clients with product implementation/onboarding. Track activity using Salesforce for CRM. Generate sales reports and communicating progress to the team.

Qualifications

  • An experienced sales leader with experience selling into school districts, head start programs, and private early childcare centers.
  • A sales “hunter” with a proven track record and strong existing relations with state agencies, large school districts, head start delegates, non-profit schools, and for-profit schools.
  • Previous experience as sales rep and sales manager in the education industry.
  • Degree in either (a) Business with focus in sales, marketing and strategic operations or (b) Education with focus on early childhood or school psychology.
  • Background in educational assessment, early childhood, and/or school psychology strongly preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of Salesforce with a strong grasp of technology & IT.
  • Capable of drafting & strategizing detailed sales proposals.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills. Spanish speaking applicants desired.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Based in the Twin Cities area preferred; remote location potentially for individuals with strong networks in the market.
