Job Description

As a member of the senior management team, The Controller will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company.

  • Participate as a member of the strategic planning team.
  • Ensure the HI-5 initiatives are understood, communicated, and completed as intended.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the company.
  • Compile and analyze financial reporting packages.
  • Prepare annual operating budgets.
  • Assess current accounting operations, and internal controls offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes.
  • Communicate financial metrics to Bryton and senior management.
  • Provide leadership and support to HR and Administration.
  • Manage the preparation of payroll.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Previous experience in cost accounting.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
  • Five years or more of related experience required.
  • CPA designation preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Able to travel as needed.
