Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator with 6+ years of experience managing enterprise database environments across Azure, AWS, and on-premises infrastructure. The candidate will lead database administration activities, architecture planning, optimization initiatives, and cloud migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage highly available database environments.
- Lead database migration projects across cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Manage SQL Server performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Configure and maintain HA/DR solutions including Always On Availability Groups.
- Establish database standards, governance, and security policies.
- Automate routine DBA tasks using PowerShell and automation tools.
- Monitor database environments and proactively resolve issues.
- Support audit, compliance, and security requirements.
- Mentor junior DBAs and provide technical leadership.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Strong SQL Server Administration experience (2016/2019/2022).
- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Azure Managed Instance, Azure VM.
- Hands-on experience with AWS RDS, EC2, CloudWatch, and backup services.
- Expertise in HA/DR, replication, clustering, and Always On.
- Database performance tuning and query optimization.
- Cloud migration and hybrid architecture experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- PowerShell, T-SQL, and automation experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Azure Administrator or Azure Database certifications.
- AWS Database Specialty or equivalent certification.
- Experience with DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and monitoring tools.
- Exposure to multi-cloud database strategies.
