Job Description

THE POSITION:

The Specialty Pharmacy Liaison serves as the single point of contact for communications both internally and externally in regards to the case status, prescription processing and reimbursement communications related to specialty pharmacies in network for their program.  They will work directly with operations for patient processing and with account management to communicate with partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:

  • Lead and facilitate conference calls with specialty pharmacy contacts (and client, if applicable) to monitor patient progress, reconcile data discrepancies, research missing data, handle inquiries and provide updates as requested.
  • Generate meeting agendas, capture meeting minutes, maintain log of all action items with specialty pharmacies.
  • Provide support and identify patient-specific issues to ensure efficient referral processing and triaging including reconciliation follow-up with specialty pharmacies.
  • Primary point of contact for client and customer SP-related inquiries and escalations.
  • Provide exceptional, white glove, customer service to internal and external customers; resolve any customer and client requests in a timely and accurate manner; escalate appropriately.
  • Independently and effectively resolve complex issues with creativity and innovation.
  • Active participation in building and maintaining respectful, collaborative internal/external team relationships, exercising and encouraging positivity.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Manage and report referral/prescription process.
  • Collaborate with SPs on case recovery efforts.
  • Manage patient progress within the SP network through status monitoring and reconciliation.
  • Provide exceptional, white glove, customer service to internal and external customers; resolve any customer and client requests in a timely and accurate manner; escalate appropriately.
  • Independently and effectively resolve complex issues with creativity and innovation.
  • Excellent attendance

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Required to have 5 years’ experience working with Specialty Pharmacies
  • Expert knowledge in patient assistance, reimbursement, medical benefit management, denials, and prior authorizations
  • Knowledge of healthcare administration and specifically healthcare billing and reimbursement procedures and regulations
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.

  • Ability to work independently and function as a team player.
  • Ability to build productive working relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, metric driven environment, while remaining patient minded.
  • Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Study in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Business-related discipline.

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $67,500 to $94,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
