THE POSITION:

The EVERSANA Internship Program is a 10-week paid position designed to offer college students the opportunity to learn about a career in life sciences. Interns will work in real-world business situations, be paired with a mentor, or team, to discover different aspects of the industry, and learn about the inner workings of our practice.

Qualified applicants must be rising juniors or rising seniors in undergraduate studies.
As our Applied Insights Intern, the candidate will work side by side with the Applied Insights, Data Scientist to help grow and strengthen our ACTICS Affinity Data. They will be responsible for scraping publicly available websites, combining data sources in snowflake, and validating affinity data outputs. Most importantly, we want to you to have fun while learning from leaders in their field. All interns will work remotely starting July 1, 2024 - through Fri September 6, 2024 (Flexible).

• Help grow and validate EVERSANA proprietary affinity dataset.
• Helping plan, organize, and coordinate various projects, programs, and services.
• Fostering clear communications using Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook and Project)
• Demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

• Hours:  40 Hours per week, 9am – 5pm ET, Monday – Friday

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

• Education:  Rising junior, or rising senior in an undergraduate degree program, from an accredited college or university
• Technology/Equipment:  Experience in web parsing. Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or similar.
• Experience with binary classification models
• Some experience with managing team-based, complex tasks and projects end-to-end is helpful.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Teams, and/or SharePoint.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers clearly and professionally.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Resourcefulness.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and be comfortable pivoting as needed in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid math and analytical aptitude.
• Strong initiative and excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

The physical and mental requirements along with the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The hourly rate for this position is $25/hr and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
