Job Description

DIRECT HIRE – Provepharm

Provepharm is currently seeking a full-time, office-based Senior Manager, Contract Operations. This person will support all aspects of the company’s commercial contracting requirements in collaboration with the Contract Management and Commercial Operations team.  Experience with contract and analysis in pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device is required.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver forecast by enabling execution of matrix colleagues.
  • Contract Language SME – Prepare, review and edit documents including, but not limited to Contract Terms and Conditions, RFI’s, RFP’s, ITB’s and questionnaires in accordance with Provepharm policy.
  • Manage and execute all commercial contracts including updating iContracts, bid tracking, and communication to 3PL. Follow through on 3PL’s execution of their responsibilities concerning these contracts.
  • Manage the day to day operations of the multisource business.
  • Load commercial rebates into iContracts.
  • Manage all membership for commercial contracts.
  • Daily audit of interfaces from 3PL to iContracts.
  • Develop accrual process during supply interruptions and validate all Failure to Supply / Supply Penalties.
  • Updating the compendiums on all product additions and changes.
  • Assist on modeling bid opportunities and price reduction impact.
  • Assist on creating a financial analysis and impact of WAC and contract price changes.
  • Manage all required FSS 42-2A contracting activities.
  • Coordinate with the Commercial Operations Specialist/Coordinator in accurately calculating all trading partner rebates, including, administrative fees, distribution fees, wholesaler program rebates, third party rebates, and others.
  • Work closely with the Contract Management team to ensure that you are properly interpreting the rebates to make certain that the rebates being paid are per the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Participate in contract reviews to determine, identify, and communicate administration issues and concerns and provide financial impact analysis as needed.
  • Review and work post audit claims from customers to determine proper resolution.
  • Disseminate information to appropriate internal parties as required.
  • Support the commercial leadership team in all reporting and data analysis.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures for Commercial Operations are current.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requirements.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • This is a HQ based position. The expectation is one is present in the Newark, NJ office a minimum of three times per week.
  • There is some travel expected with this position with occasional evening and weekend participation.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University is required
  • Minimum of  3 years of contract and analysis experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device in similar roles. Surgical and or generic experience preferred
  • Understanding of contracts and contract terms including knowledge of contracting for generic pharmaceuticals in both the Institutional (Hospital) and Retail (Wholesaler, Retail Chain) settings.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet aggressive deadlines and complete multiple assignments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills; seeks solutions to resolve issues and challenges.
  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word mail merge and Excel spreadsheet functions and formulas (pivot tables, and lookup formulas).
  • Experience with iContracts preferred and or other equivalent Cloud Based System.
