Job Description

The Technical Platform Manager, specializing in TMS (Mercury Gate), will lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of our TMS technical platform along with API integration points to ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability within our supply chain.  

This role requires close collaboration with development and operations teams to align our TMS technical platform accomplishing our Client’s objectives. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to efficiently manage the entire supply chain process, enhancing its effectiveness, and implementing strategies in the full deployment of Mercury Gate platform options, as it relates to EVERSANA. 
  • Setts clear direction, effective plans and measurable outcomes with TMS (Mercury Gate) implementations and upgrade modifications.  
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop technical solutions to support them collaborating with technical and functional teams to meet business requirements. 
  • Ensures optimal performance and stability overseeing testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance testing in both TMS and WMS UAT/QA environments. 
  • Conducts comprehensive reviews of the MercuryGate platform to optimize, automate, and enhance overall efficiency, including: automating tasks, improving client visibility, and consistently monitoring technical performance. 
  • Develop and implement technical platform upgrade and enhancement strategies to keep the platform current and competitive.  
  • Create reports to improve key metric tracking within the MercuryGate platform measuring the success of our production initiatives. 
  • Mentor and assist the operations Transportation Coordinators to mitigate exceptions in the load out and dispatch process. 
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates various projects, programs and services.  
  • Proficient in configuring the Mercury Gate platform for reporting, hierarchy, and development.  
  • Proficient in writing DRS code for Macro development in Mercury Gate Edge. 
  • Manage technical platform budgets, timelines, and resources effectively. 
  • Ensure compliance with technical platform security and data privacy requirements. 
  • Interest and ability to explore new technical platforms in Supply Chain Solutions. 
  • All other duties as assigned  

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Bachelor's or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Specializing in any TMS software (Mercury Gate Preferred)  
  • 5+ years of experience in technical platform management or a related field. 
  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms as they pertain to TMS solutions: AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure. 
  • Strong understanding of API development along with background XML tables for TMS 
  • Driver’s license (required) 
  • Strong project management and leadership skills. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment. 
  • Microsoft Office Suites, and reporting tools like Power BI 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Business 
  • APICS CSCP or APICS CPIM, Green Belt) 
  • Background in transportation all Modes 
  • Power BI User Level 
  • Proven track record of successful implementations and optimizations to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Responsible for and oversee the management of the Mercury Gate TMS by all users.
  • Select and supervise the activities of the department staff at a SOP level in coordination with the Transportation Manager; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures.
  • Lead by example in both the administration and management of the Transportation Team. Execute at high level to task and to project timelines. This requires high levels of priority management and follow up within the Supply Chain team and coordination with the other team managers.
