Job Description

THE POSITION:

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will be responsible for leading and implementing the US commercialization strategy for an EVERSANA-partnered Migraine treatment.  This role will be responsible for optimizing growth and ensuring commercial excellence and superior customer experience. The CCO will have oversight for the partnership P&L, commercial execution and will provide regular updates to the joint management committee (JMC).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:

  • Responsible for partnership P&L
  • Collaborate with the partnership Senior Management and Commercial team to develop commercialization strategies, refine/update functional plans, and lead the execution team.
  • Oversee the implementation and successful development of strategic go-to-market plan and team culture that ensures integration between all functional teams driving the commercialization effort.
  • Proposes and ensures implementation of pricing and contracting strategies.
  • Oversee sales forecasting and marketing strategy for the client asset.          
  • Analyze and interpret changing market and industry dynamics/trends to determine the effect on current business and use this information to formulate new commercial strategies and tactics.
  • Ensure effective control of Commercial team results and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of Commercial objectives falls within designated budgets.
  • Regularly provides transparent updates to the JMC on progress of the commercialization efforts and defined performance metrics
  • Collaborates with shared services (Finance, IT, HR, Legal) to keep our fiduciary responsibilities on track and manage any execution risks.

People leaders must possess both the skills to effectively accomplish these tasks and the emotional intelligence to do so in alignment with our cultural values.  In addition to the critical management and leadership tasks listed above, this role also includes the following unique responsibilities:

  • Responsible for and oversee their respective program. Drive a collaborative and performance-based culture.
  • Informs the recruitment and retention of top talent for the Commercial team.
  • Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with the EVP of COMPLETE Commercialization to determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to program objectives discussion appraisal with each team member and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Strong understanding of US commercialization with proven ability to build and lead all facets of a new drug commercialization; 505(b)(2) commercialization experience a must.
  • Migraine experience and category knowledge a plus.
  • Extensive experience leading high performance Commercial teams in pharmaceutical industry; Prior commercial experience in new asset integration and emerging biotech a plus
  • Understanding and experience in working with market access and trade/distribution customers.
  • Proven success with launching new therapies in the US market.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to work well within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to analyze cost-benefit scenarios, manage budgets and negotiate contracts and vendor/customer agreements.
  • Can cultivate a sense of urgency and responsiveness to all levels of the organization; Motivates team to deliver high quality work and communicate as a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Has a track-record of driving results.
  • Technology/Equipment :  Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications; Familiarity with SFDC CRM platform

Qualifications

  • Education (i.e. degree required) MBA preferred
  • Experience and/or Training: 20+ years of progressive commercial experience in pharmaceutical industry

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $279000 to $363000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
