Job Description

THE POSITION:

The SVP, Program Success & Innovation will be responsible for setting up new COMPLETE Commercialization programs for success and will continue to drive improvements across programs.  As new programs are signed, this role will act as a SPRINT CCO and work with the business development leader and commercial strategy leader to organize the program and begin execution based on the terms of the agreement.  They will actively participate in recruiting and support the contracting process as needed. They will actively coordinate and drive key monthly meetings (e.g., Introspection, COMPLETE Round table) and will collect insights from the field to develop new SOPs to keep the COMPLETE Commercialization Playbook updated.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  This role has three critical responsibilities.

Sprint CCO

  • Build relationships with the commercial business development and commercial strategy teams. Understand terms of any new partnership agreement and scope of work
  • Setup new COMPLETE Commercialization programs for success (e.g., team organization, roles & responsibilities, cross-functional collaboration meetings), based on partnership agreement.
  • Collaborate with the partnership Senior Management, EVERSANA workstream leaders to develop commercialization strategies, refine/update functional plans, and lead the execution team.
  • Actively participate in recruiting efforts to identify Chief Commercial Officers (CCO)
  • Transition program(s) to new CCOs.
     

COMPLETE Innovation

  • Build relationships with business unit leaders to understand innovations being deployed and implications to execution. Work with manager and COMPLETE team to determine ways of incorporating innovation in COMPLETE Commercialization.
  • Prepare for and facilitate key COMPLETE Team meetings.
  • Work with the COMPLETE teams to collect insights on ways of improving program execution and document areas to improve the COMPLETE Commercialization Playbook and training.
  • Keep the COMPLETE Commercialization Playbook updated.
  • Conduct semi-annual discussions with program teams to assess progress.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

PMO Management

  • Lead our India-based PMO team.
  • Work with finance and HR to ensure there is adequate capacity and trained team members.
  • Collect feedback from the CCOs and identify ways of improving delivery and PMO support in our COMPLETE Commercialization programs.

PEOPLE LEADER

People leaders must possess both the skills to effectively accomplish these tasks and the emotional intelligence to do so in alignment with our cultural values.  In addition to the critical management and leadership tasks listed above, this role also includes the following unique responsibilities:

  • Ensures that decisions are based on values defined by EVERSANA and the partner.
  • Responsible for and oversees their respective program. Drive a collaborative and performance-based culture.
  • Informs the recruitment and retention of top talent for the Commercial team.
  • Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with the EVP of COMPLETE Commercialization to determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to program objectives discussion appraisal with each team member and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge and administer all other personnel actions

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Travel (50%)
  • Hours (40 Hours per week)

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Strong understanding of new product commercialization with proven ability to build and lead all facets of a new drug commercialization.
  • Extensive experience leading high performance Commercial teams in pharmaceutical industry; Prior service industry (e.g., agency, consulting) a plus.
  • Understanding and experience in working with cross functional teams (e.g., marketing, trade, market access, finance, HR, 3PL, patient services etc.)
  • Proven success with commercializing new therapies in the US and European markets.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to work well within all levels of the organization.
  • Deep experience in managing P&L and stakeholder expectations.
  • Can cultivate a sense of urgency and responsiveness to all levels of the organization; Motivates team to deliver high quality work and communicate as a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Has a track-record of driving results.
  • Technology/Equipment :  Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education (i.e. degree required) MBA preferred
  • Experience and/or Training:  20+ years of progressive commercial experience in pharmaceutical industry

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $242000 to $315000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
