Job Description
The Sr. Marketing Operations Program Manager plays a critical role in leading the execution of Client Omnichannel marketing tactics for a given Brand or Portfolio. This role is a pod, operational process leader and consultant for both the client facing and technical execution teams, coordinating directly with those providing services to the client throughout the engagement.
The Sr. Marketing Operations Program Manager is instrumental in helping EVERSANA to manage the Managed Services ecosystem, understand the complexities and dependencies of all work in progress, and relay them to the Operations and Execution team in terms of impacts on projects, schedules, and budgets. Close and detailed work with the Project Managers and Marketing Operations Lead provides the partnership required to make critical adjustments and informed decisions to meet delivery and timing requirements.
The Sr. Marketing Operations Program Manager works on Client enterprise level projects, across brands within the Pod to adhere to Scrum and Iterative Management best practices and standards and is accountable for ensuring compliance. This role is also accountable for leading, and coordinating needed iterative ceremonies used to complete all the details and elements of the individual projects. The Sr. Marketing Operations Program Manager will use our Azure DevOps environment to ensure the smooth, timely, and cost-effective execution of all workstreams.
Qualifications
What Does a Sr. Marketing Operations Program Manager Do?
- Runs the ceremonies required to execute the iterative work such as Daily Stand up, Sprint Mapping, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Manage all ADO cards throughout the duration of the sprint, after the PMO has built the initial Epics
- Lead the execution team in standard processes
- Help the development team to achieve customer satisfaction
- Lead the development team in self-organization
- Remove impediments and coach the execution team on removing impediments
- Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework
- Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
- Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
- Support the product owner and provide education where needed
- Conflict resolution, including scope, schedule, resource, budget, quality, and communication
- Agile ceremony leadership with the development teams and relevant stakeholders
- Possess a strong understanding of dependencies and critical milestones
- Proactively identify and flag resourcing concerns and work with Department Leads, Client Services, and PMs to ensure the accuracy of updates to staffing plans
- Partner with Client Services, PMs, and Marketing Operations Lead to develop timelines and execution plans for coming Sprints
- Proactively identify Task, and User Story level risks, and lead risk mitigation plans with Team Leads
- Co-author and Co-develop the training and onboarding materials for new team members
- Provide onboarding, training, mentoring, and coaching to build on strengths and minimize weaknesses within the team
- Recognize performance issues and escalate appropriately within the PMO or to department leads
What Are We Looking For?
- 5-7 years prior marketing operations or program management experience is required
- 3+ years Program Manager experience within an Agency environment is desired
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Holds Program Manager certification
- Pharmaceutical Industry experience is required
- Previous Healthcare Marketing Agency industry experience with experience in leading teams executing email marketing campaigns
- Experience with Managed Services & Marketing Optimization platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud is required
- Experience leading a multitude of complex technology-based programs
- Proven ability to successfully manage highly complex/multi-faceted programs in a fast-paced environment
- Prior management of at least one (1) direct report
- Prior experience working in a scrum team as a resource
- Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
- Advanced ability to navigate and drive for clarifications of undefined and/or ambiguous requests to develop actionable work tasks
- Knowledgeable in techniques to solve problems and gaps in the marketing operations process
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Azure DevOps or JIRA
- Experience and knowledge with successful Agile techniques
- Advanced client consulting skills with a “servant leadership” attitude
- Ability to work with and lead a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
- Experience compiling sprint/iteration resourcing and quarterly/annual Staffing/Resource plans

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $101,000 to $173,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
