Job Description
THE POSITION:
The General Manager - Insights will organize and lead all work performed in the EVERSANA Insights group and supervise all areas of sales, client engagement, project delivery and operations. This includes, talent management, business development, allocating budget resources, formulating polices, coordinating business operations, monitoring staff, and managing operational costs. This position will assist EVERSANA in maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, and meeting business objectives. This position will be responsible for driving new market research product development and capability enhancement.
This is a key and exciting role in a business with strong client loyalty and significant growth potential.. EVERSANA has over 150 life sciences customers globally, including more than 20 of the top 25 pharmaceutical companies.
This role will enrich our senior leadership team, add to our professional services capabilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:
- Supervise, coordinate, and oversees daily operations and activities of the Insights group
- Explore local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
- Prepare forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans
- Organize budget and allocate funds appropriately
- Responsible for advancing strategic growth objectives. Confer with department heads on all critical decisions, identification of issues and problem resolution to ensure concurrence and adverse operational impact
- Ensure department goals and objectives are properly aligned to support group and global operations strategy
- Stay informed about situations in competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration
- Determine staffing requirements and participate in the recruitment and development of qualified and competent staff
- Enforce EVERSANA policies and standard operating procedures
- All other duties as assigned

PEOPLE LEADER

- Responsible for and oversee their respective department.
- Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures.
- Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.
EXPECTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Travel: Some travel may be required for meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 40+ hours per week

Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- Education Masters Degree in life science field, business, data analytics, or related field
- Experience and/or Training 15+ years of experience in life sciences setting (consulting/sales/pharma)
- Experience in a managerial or executive role in the industry
- Strong experience in project management and budgeting, P&L management
- Demonstrate ability and proven track record in strategy-building and implementation
- Working knowledge of market research, data analyses and performance metrics
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work well within all levels of the organization
- Strong presentation and communication skills; must be able to provide succinct, strategic, and actionable insights to senior executives
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrate ability and proven track record in individual and group business development
- Experience developing and launching Insights related products and services
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The physical and mental requirements along with the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $270,000 to $340,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
